  1. As an avid sailor and owner of an E35 Ericson, This is the absolute worst and most complicated subscription ever. Extremely difficult to navigate if not impossible to open a Current issue as a subscriber. Please refund the balance of my subscription.

    • Alfred – Managing longtime print subscribers who order through the mail and are now visiting the site for the first time, new digital subscribers who purchased on the site and free eletter readers who have not purchased anything is a multi-dimensional challenge. Multiple databases, many levels of user experience and different levels of expectations from you all but one site and one product. We continue to work on the site and improve it.

Your subscription is active and your web access is set up. You simply need to log in to access the subscriber-only content. If you are having difficulty logging in, you should reset your password.

      Thank you for your comments.

  2. P.S.- if you really want to see what it is like, set up memberships for all of your staff (including managing editor), only access the finished issue via their “membership”, receive almost daily advertisements to buy another e-book series, and constantly fight the “free emails” popups. Then you will understand!

    • Hello Sam,

  3. i am not familiar with Practical Sailor but really like the idea of a publication devoted, exclusively, to sail. I wish to subscribe but to be honest, if the focus is mostly on boats over 30 feet I would not be interested. My boat, a recently purchased 1988 O’Day 240, is my entry back into sailing after a 20+ year hiatus. I stopped watching “This Old House” when they began only working on projects over $1,000,000. Does Practical Sailor have a fairly even split between larger boats and smaller/trailerable boats?

    • I’m Drew Frye, I write a good portion of the content, and my current boat is 24 feet and trailerable. I love writing for smaller boats, so just send in the questions. My last boat was a larger cruising cat with a lot of systems, so I have a good feel for that as well.

  4. I agree with most of the above, very difficult to navigate website, download issues etc. Even logged in it wont let me and does not seem to want me to activate online. Very cumbersome, and all I get is tons of emails trying to sell over priced articles on various boat maintenance issues. So far a total waste of money.

  5. I am a Canadian that has been trying to subscribe for awhile. I am not sure if l have been successful. If l have a membership please let me know. If not l will try again.
